Cross country trophies awarded

The club's cross country trophies are awarded to the runners who show commitment, dedication and tangible improvement over the cross country season, whilst really reflecting the spirit of cross country

The awards were made at the end of season cross country social on Wednesday 18 March.

The women's trophy was awarded to Sarah Pemberton.

The men's trophy was awarded to Nathan Wilkins.

Congratulations to both.

Sarah Pemberton - women's trophy winner

The criteria that is used to decide the recipient of the ladies trophy each year is someone who goes above and beyond, who continuously fights for the team (no matter which team), who works hard and progresses thoughout the season. This year, therefore, Sarah Pemberton is the well deserved winner of this trophy. Sarah has shown dedication for the team throughout the season and fought for her position in every single race. XC is a highlight for her running calendar and it really shows in her attitude on race day, attacking each race and relishing the challenge.

Nathan Wilkins - men's trophy winner

It was great to have such an excellent turnout of Serpies who have run in the Met League, Sunday League or championship races plus helpers and marshals. Thanks to everyone who took part or helped this season. We're already looking forward to the 2015-16 season!
