London Marathon - Club Places (applications by noon 5 Dec)
Applications are invited for one of the club's 5 places for the 2015 London Marathon. These are places that we give to club members in recognition of their services to the club (although please note that Serpentine do not pay the entry fee).
As in previous years, the club has 5 club places for the 2015 London Marathon. These are places that we give to club members in recognition of their services to the club (although please note that Serpentine does not pay the entry fee), for example racing for the club, marshaling and volunteering and other special tasks such as helping with the website, kit-room etc. The starting point is to look at the qualifying criteria on the website but please note that members who do not meet the full points criteria can still apply. If we don't receive 5+ applications from people who have the full number of points, we'll open out the ballot for the remaining places to other club members who have applied.
For calculating the points please consider the period from Dec 1st 2013 to Nov 30th 2014. You can either apply by downloading the application form, or I am more than happy to receive the same information within an email. Please also add any additional supporting information to your application, particularly if you don't have the full points total.
The deadline for entries is 12 noon on Friday 5th December. I will then check the applications and points and, if there is no need for a ballot, I will announce the outcome a week later. If there is to be a ballot I will draw the names from a hat at the Christmas party, as in previous years.
